COVENTRY is taking tips from Camden to set up a climate change task push.
The city council has arranged this week to set up a corner party hub holding frequent meetings and championing sustainability over the council's work.
The move is comparable to a scheme at the Birmingham Borough of Camden, where a 16 strong task force has been discovering ideas to turn their group green.
Since the Camden Sustainability Task Force was set up in 2004 is has:
n Encouraged cutting the amount of meat and dairy products provided in the council's canteens, schools and proper care homes,
n Set up a completing station to power cars and trucks on bio methane (a gas produced from food and lawn waste),
n Pledged undertake a zero carbon home in every ward so neighbours are able to see new technology and get motivation.
The Coventry hub will get with each other four times a year, holding consumer meetings and inviting guest loudspeakers.
Melody Stokes, council sustainability plus campaigns manager, said: "These issues aren't just party Nike High Heels Uk political. You will find a cross party involvement.

This panel will be made up of 6-8 councillors two Conservatives, two Labour then one independent and will be chaired by Coun Lee.
The Camden task force struck the headlines last year immediately after recommending the council reduce meat and dairy products served in the canteen.
