Currently, the Providence building is partially completed.Speaking at the grand opening ceremony yesterday outside of the new location, Finance Minister Ashni Singh emphasised that the Providence centre was a testimony to Qualfon’s “immense confidence in Guyana”.Noting the thousands of persons who will gain employment from Qualfon,Jerseys Cheap Wholesale, Singh said that the company was transforming lives through its business.“I have had the privilege of seeing how your company was established and has grown and expanded its footprint in Guyana, and how you have literally transformed lives by employing thousands of Guyanese and improving their lives,” Singh said.He further said that employment presented the opportunity for Guyanese to recognise the roles they play in society, regardless of their position.“Each and every Guyanese person literally has in his hands…the potential to influence the prosperity of his country,” Singh added.Singh said too that Qualfon provided the opportunity for Guyana to be marketed toA section of the audience during yesterday’s opening ceremony.“mega clients” who have visited this nation over the past few months. He said these clients have assessed Qualfon not only as a Mexican company but also as a Guyanese company.Singh opined that the business process outsourcing (BPO) industry can prove to be a source of growth in Guyana’s future.“We recognise that the BPO industry is the creator of more jobs than perhaps any other industry over the last half a decade or so and as the industry that will drive job creation going forward,” Singh said.President Donald Ramotar also applauded the new campus and emphasised that it provided Guyana with the opportunity to develop its human resources.“The most important factor for development is not just all the natural resources that we have…but life has shown us that the most important factor for development is the qualityAn inside glimpse of the edifice.of people that the country will have,” Ramotar said.The President, Finance Minister and other officials were subsequently given a tour of the facility.The facility will be built in two phases, with an estimated completion of 2016. The first phase was completed at the cost of US$4M. Its special features include solar-powered panels, an indoor/outdoor cafeteria, and a water pond.Further, 25% of the facility will be dedicated to the two main contact areas.The sod for the Providence facility was turned in September 2013 by President Ramotar.Qualfon is a global provider of call centre back office and business outsourcing services.
