She added that she saw her brother with the two knives and tried to stop him.But she said that her brother struck her with one of the knives and then punched her in the stomach.One woman described the assailant as being mentally ill and having “things on his mind.” She also said that the scuffle began after the suspect told France “yuh aint mining yuh children.”“Deh fight and he (France) beat Ando and Ando seh he coming back for he.”Late yesterday afternoon eyewitnesses were taken to the East La Penitence Police Outpost to give statements.France lives with an aunt who was too overcome with grief to comment. France was a father of three.
