| Nineteen postmasters and a number of staff members of the Finance Department at the Guyana Post Office Corporation (GPOC) are under investigation for money order fraud in excess of $1M.Initial meetings with members of the Finance Department and members of the reconciliation team were convened on October 13, a GPOC release noted yesterday.The corporation disclosed that as part of its investigative process, it invited the postmasters in question to a meeting along with the President and General Secretary of the Guyana Postal and Telecommunication Workers’ Union as well as a representative from the Guyana Public Service Union on October 22 at its head office location.The offices under investigation are Anna Regina, Bartica,Cheap Jerseys From China, Mahaica, Wales, Vreed-en-Hoop, Fort Wellington, Kitty,Wholesale Authentic Jerseys, Campbellville, Bagotville,Wholesale Cheap Jerseys China, Queenstown,Cheap Jerseys From China, East La Penitence, Soesdyke, Rosignol,Cheap NFL Jerseys Wholesale, Charlestown, Bourda, Charity, Grove and Parika.The office at Port Kaituma is currently under police investigation.Acccording to GPOC, the Board of Directors disgusted “at the level of dishonesty that has become evident within the ranks of the organisation over a period and continues to work assiduously with the Corporation to provide a service based on high levels of integrity, professionalism and excellence.”It is not the first time that fraud has been reported at the corporation with accusations that staffers were involved with scamming NIS of vouchers,Cheap Jerseys Free Shipping, among other schemes.
