NBA Jerseys From China y5ftaktt

–Ministry of Education A family literacy programme is to be introduced by the Ministry of Education to prepare every child and adult to succeed in his/her environment. The Literacy Unit in collaboration with the Institute of Distance and Continuing Education (IDCE), the International Labour Organisation (ILO), CARICOM,NFL Jerseys Wholesale, the Ministries of Home Affairs and Human Services and Social Security, and the Guyana Responsible Parenthood Association (GRPA), will conduct seminar-style courses for parents of children involved in the Fast Track Initiative literacy programme.According to the Ministry of Education, the drive which will be overseen by the National Literacy Unit aims to prepare every child and adult to succeed. It also recognises the critical role parents have to play in educating their children. The programme, which comes on stream tomorrow, will feature a literacy highlighter day on the monthly calendar of literacy events countrywide that will allow for the infusion of this concept at the community level.Literacy educators from every region will be involved in projects that will sensitise the community, particularly single parents and vulnerable parents about appropriate action to assist their children in maximising their full potential. There will also be one day per week capacity building classes in entrepreneurship studies and vocational programmes at adult friendly environments and certificates will be presented to participants who have completed these courses. The Ministry disclosed that the National Literacy Unit has been maintaining constant, focused programmes, to raise literacy standards at all levels of the education system and the work force.Currently, some 300 literacy educators are working both with in-school learners and out-of-school youths in all the education districts throughout the country to eliminate this problem from society.Strong emphasis is also being placed on literacy and numeracy at all Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions and to date, these programmes have recorded encouraging results. The Prison Service has also been working with the Literacy Unit to improve literacy among inmates, and so too a number of the corporate private sector agencies to provide literacy training for their workers. The Ministry’s competency-based approach to education is supported by critical assessments at Grades Two and Four at the primary level and a Literacy Certification component has been added to the National Grade Four Assessment. This intervention will no doubt put teachers under more pressure to perform and Minister Baksh is calling on teachers at every grade at the primary level to dedicate at least one extra hour each day after school to work with slower learners to improve their educational outcomes.Minister Baksh said that literacy is intricately tied to the attainment of personal, and by extension, national developmental goals.  As society evolves and technology improves, the knowledge bases expand and the importance of literacy grows exponentially.“The Ministry of Education is attuned to these waves of developments and has been continuously working to increase awareness of this issue in all spheres of public life as it has recognised that meeting these demands requires a broad-based, multifaceted approach.“In this regard, we continue to forge partnerships with both public and private entities to further our literacy enhancement agenda and have instituted several programmes geared towards unlocking the vast potential of our human resources to open-up new windows of opportunities,” he saidDuring the last July/August vacation, some 13,500 children at the primary and secondary levels benefited from a remediation programme designed to correct their weaknesses in the areas of literacy and numeracy.
