| A man who brutally chopped a woman and wounded her husband then injures a student is now facing the courts on a charge of attempted murder. The melee occurred in a minibus.The man Leon Thomas, 46,Andrew Franks Dolphins Jersey, a labourer of Manchester Village,Alexander Nylander Jersey, Corentyne, Berbice, is charged with attempting to murder Meena Crawford-Morrison of West Canje, Berbice on Wednesday January 21, at Number One Road, Corentyne, Berbice. He is also charged with wounding Glen Morrison. More charges are pendingHe was not required to plead to the first charge and pleaded not guilty to the second.The accused told the court that he and the woman were in a relationship and that she had stolen his gold and money.In opposing bail Police Prosecutor Sergeant Althea Solomon told the court that Crawford-Morrison is still hospitalized in a serious condition. The prosecutor stated that the issue is one of domestic violence and as such bail should be refused. She added that the accused was previously charged for a similar offence and the matter is ongoing.The couple had also taken out a restraining order against Thomas three months ago in which he was ordered to stay 100 feet away from them.According to information, the couple Meena, 40, and Glen,2018 NFL Draft Jersey, 43 of New Budhram Housing Scheme,World Baseball Classic Jerseys, West Canje, Berbice were in a minibus around 08:00 hrs on their way to the Corentyne when they were confronted by the man who was also in the same vehicle. However, her husband Glen Martin Morrison and a 16-year-old of No. 19 village sustained minor injuries and were treated and sent home from the Port Mourant Hospital.According to information the accused started to taunt the couple accusing Meena of stealing his jewelry. The couple at first ignored the man,Nike Boston Celtics Authentic Jerseys, but after a while an argument ensued.The suspect subsequently pulled a cutlass from a bag he was carrying and started to fire chops. The student was injured on her left hand.After the commotion started the bus came to a halt and the passenger fled. Thomas also fled from the bus, but was pursued by resident and nabbed in a yard.
