| Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the state-owned National Communications Network (NCN), Molly Hassan,National Communications Network (NCN) Chief Executive Officer Molly Hassanis accusing the new government of hypocrisy. She said that the administration is failing terribly to practise what it preaches.Hassan, who has presided over NCN during a period when the opposition parties (which now form the government) were denied air time, is one of the several persons working in the state media fraternity who the new government wants to resign.Director of the Government Information Agency (GINA),Cheap Jerseys From China, Neaz Subhan, was first to send his letter of resignation to the Minister of Information, Moses Nagamootoo. Several others are expected to follow suit. Subhan sent his letter on Wednesday last.Director of Public Information, Imran Khan had told Kaieteur News that Subhan “acted honourably” in submitting his resignation.Khan said that there seems to be many professionals currently employed with the state media who are prepared to work with integrity and purpose in lifting the standard. “These persons should have no worry that there will be any witch hunt against them.”On the other hand, he was keen to point out that “there are persons in the state media and at GINA whose conscience should instruct them to what is the honourable thing to do.Khan said that the move towards professionalizing the state media will require the absence of many “toxic” individuals.“We have demanded the resignations of no one, but equally persons would be naïve to think that given theirDirector of Public Information, Imran Khanhistory of willfully presiding over the appalling discriminatory practices in maligning the people’s representatives in Parliament, in condoning reprehensible racist attacks against persons and of allowing themselves to be professionally compromised, of surrendering their professional ethics and dignity, that they would have a place in the process of moving forward. The public can have no confidence in these persons.”In a statement she released yesterday, Hassan said that she observed “comments from a Government official which are conflicting with what was discussed with me privately.”The CEO said, “It may be challenging to transition from a political activist into a Government functionary and the responsibilities which the portfolio affords (reference to Khan).”She added that she observed Khan’s statements which “grossly contradicts what Government officials have been communicating to employees of NCN over the past three weeks,Cheap MLB Gear, that is,NFL Jerseys China, the administration is seeking a professional workforce and will not engage in ‘witch hunting.”“These statements allegedly made by the DPI designate simply does not demonstrate professionalism that is being sought by the administration as it exposes the inability of some persons being familiar with basic rules of employee engagement and employment best practices,” said Hassan.Khan declined to respond to any “individual”.
