A report ordered by President Bharrat Jagdeo into the alleged torture of a teenager while he was in police lockups is expected to be completed by the end of this week and could be made public within days.This is according to government spokesperson, Dr Roger Luncheon, yesterday who also noted that the President is expected to be handed the report on his return from overseas Monday.The report is expected to be released as early Tuesday, the official assured.Currently, the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) and Police Complaints Authority (PCA) are reviewing the files and their advice on what actions, if any, will be included in the final report.On Wednesday, Magistrate Priya Beharry remanded Constable Mohanram Dolai, one of the policemen ensnared in allegations of the torture of a teenager at Leonora. Corporal Oswald Foo along with Dolai and Lall were jointly charged for unlawfully wounding Deonarine Raffi.It is alleged that on October 28 at Leonora, West Coast Demerara, the three unlawfully and maliciously wounded Raffi with intent to maim, disfigure or cause grievous bodily harm.It is further alleged that on the same day at Leonora, Dolai and Lall, unlawfully and maliciously wounded the teen with intent to maim disfigure or cause grievous bodily harm.
