My husband's ex wife states that child support needs to continue for their daughter until she goes away to college. My husband said that he would help out as much as he could with tuition, but was unable financially afford to pay for half of the tuition. Now, his ex wife is saying that my husband needs to pay half. Then she added that technically, he needs to pay for 100% of the tuition because she doesn't work. However, my husband wasn't involved in the decision making process when choosing the school "Kaitlyn" would attend. His ex wife is married to a lawyer and is trying to use scare tactics with my husband. My husband has always been there for his daughter emtionally and financially. My husband already said he would help out within our financial means. Law. Con. Stat. 5/513, the court may make provisions for the education expenses of the children of the marriage, whether of minor or majority age. HOWEVER, if mom takes this to court it is possible for the court to order such support. If not please hit the accept button, its the only way I get credit for my work.
