| Another Linden family was yesterday plunged into mourning, after a BosaiThe distraught family of Bertrand Pollard. His mother Wilhemina Robertson is in pink top with head tie.worker was killed on the job, this time in a horrific accident.The victim, Bertrand Pollard, 20, of Block 22 Wismar, Linden was an apprentice attached to the Company.His mother Wilhemina Robertson was too distraught to speak with the media. But a relative blurted out, “They killed me nephew!”According to unconfirmed reports Pollard had been servicing a piece of heavy duty machinery in Montgomery mines when the tragedy occurred.“The man de servicing de machine, when it slipped and fall on he, because de didn’t prop it up properly–Was negligence”, one source claimed.Another source claimed that after Pollard had finished working on the machine, he decided to take a break and was sheltering under it, when the operator not knowing that he was still underneath drove off, smashing him in the process.A relative noted, “He get damaged bad, bad. He was almost split in half.According to the relative, they were told that the driver of the truck had moved off without giving any signal or notice that he was going to move.She also noted that the last time the family saw Pollard was when he left for work yesterday morning.“Everybody saw him off to work (yesterday) morning, and then the next thing we know is he is dead.We received a call about seven-thirty saying that he was dead, but then we were hearing that it wasn’t him, that it was somebody else. Then we got the confirmation that it was him. This is a terrible blow to us, because the family was preparing for Christmas, and now we have to shelve all those plans and prepare for a funeral. It is not easy”.The family said that Bosai has committed to taking care of all funeral expenses.“But Bosai has to compensate his family even though no amount of money can bring Randy (Pollard) back, they have to pay some kind of compensation.”Meanwhile Region Ten Member of Parliament, Rennis Morian, said,Cheap Jerseys, “There has to be a safety audit of this company; there are too many tragedies happening. Look at the last tragedy where the guy was murdered- he was in a desolate area with no proper security. Such a thing could not have happened if there had been proper communication.”Persons out in the streets are also contending that the accident could have been avoided if proper safety precautions had been observed.Recently another Bosai worker met his death tragically at the hands of killers at another mining site managed by Bosai.Reports indicate that robbery was the motive for his murder, as a computer box used to operate the excavator he was working on was missing.For the Pollard and Robertson families, the death of young Bertrand Pollard, could not have come at a worst time.
